Rangers FC South Soccer Club is an organized youth soccer club for girls and boys birthdates 2016/17-2005. We participate in The So Cal Soccer League, and our club plays 10 months out of the year.
Rangers FC South Soccer Club, formerly known as OC Surf North & Canyon PSA, was established in 1998 and started out with 2 teams. We became affiliated with Rangers FC in 2024. Currently, we have 23 teams with 300+ families in the Rangers FC South program.

Under the direction of Club Director Eddie Carrillo (Men’s Soccer Coach, Chapman University), Romeo Aguinaldo – Skills & Training Director, and Jose Vasquez – Technical Director, Former LA Galaxy player and Hall of Fame Inductee, Rangers FC South provides a very experienced and professional staff.

We are a strong competitive club that continues to grow and thrive with the focus to develop solid players on and off the soccer field. Through the years our Alumni has grown strong and our players have become collegiate players. Our players are recruited from the Orange Unified School District area as well as players from the North Orange County areas.

During tryouts, each age group is evaluated by several of the Club’s professional coaching staff along with the Club Directors, each Coach will select their players for the teams for the upcoming Fall season. We are always looking for Flight 1, Flight 2, and Flight 3 teams for all Age groups.

Competitive teams, 2016 – 2009 typically train two days per week for 1 ½ hours. 2008s and older, typically train two to three days per week for 2 hours. Training fields are Serrano Elementary, Villa Park High School, Riverdale Park, and Crescent Elementary.

Currently, high school aged players receive additional sessions, which among other things, specialize in strength and conditioning, life skills training, and college recruitment preparation.

Eddie Carrillo— Club Director. Rangers FC South was founded and has been under the direction of Eddie Carrillo since 1998. Eddie is currently the Director of Coaching @ Chapman University. Eddie has over 25 years of coaching experience with both men and women at the College, High School and Club levels. Chapman University is one of the top Division III University’s in the west region and is a perennial NCAA tournament participant. Eddie is a math teacher in the OUSD and resides in Anaheim Hills area.

Jose Vasquez – Club Technical Director. Former LA Galaxy and Hall of Fame Inductee. Jose has been an icon in the soccer community. His experience playing professional soccer in Mexico and the United States is an incredible asset to all of our Ranger FC players. Rangers FC South is proud it provides its’ players with access to one of the best players to come out of Southern California. Jose is currently the Men’s Soccer Coach at Santa Ana College.

Romeo Aguinaldo – Girls Director. Romeo has over 30 year’s experience coaching at various levels both with boys & girls. He has been a trainer & coach for multiple soccer clubs and teams throughout Southern California, including West Torrance HS, Cypress HS, St. Joseph HS, Beach, Gold Coast, Force, and many others; and has earned multiple regional, state, and national championships.
